Prime-Tass reported that Toyota produces Camry cars at its plant in St. Petersburg, which was launched at the end of December.

Russia-made Camry cars will retail from 790,000 rubles, down 9% on average from the price of imported Camry cars, Toyota Motor reportedly said.

In 2007, Toyota sold 26,358 Camry cars in Russia, up 45.63% on the year.

Toyota’s total sales in Russia in 2007 amounted to 157,000 cars.
