Automotive interiors specialist Johnson Controls (JCI) hopes to make car seats in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, regional official Vladimir Solovyov said.
“The project is to be invested with good financing. If production in the city is established it will create up to 500 jobs,” Slovyov said, according to the Prime news agency.
The supplier is currently looking for a 15,000 sq m site in Nizhny Novgorod and has so far considered five locations.
“We expect the site to be chosen this year,” Slovyov said.
