GM-AvtoVAZ has ended production of the Chevrolet Viva and plans to announce the launch of a new car model in June, an official said.

Konstantin Bayshev, director of GM-AvtoVAZ’s sales department, told Prime-Tass the company would produce a new Chevrolet model – likely to be a sedan or sport utility vehicle.

GM-AvtoVAZ started operations in September 2002 and currently produces Chevrolet Niva cars.
