GAZ Group intends to launch full scale production of Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles in December and expects to assemble 60,000 units in 2013.

Volkswagen Group’s Rus-GAZ project head Petr Linhart said full capacity of 110,000 cars would be reached in 2014 and was expected to expand to 300,000 cars eventually.

A year ago, GAZ and VW signed a EUR200m (US$254m) agreement for the production of Skoda Yeti, Skoda Octavia, and Volkswagen Jetta models.
