Revenue at GAZ Group is projected to increase 20% on the year to RUB82–88bn in 2010, company’s president Bo Andersson told reporters.
In late March, Andersson said the group’s revenue was expected at RUB84bn rubles in 2010.
Andersson said the group could now increase the daily output of GAZelle vehicles to 400 units from about 350 units, as stock at dealers was currently falling.
Serial production of GAZelle vehicles with diesel engines was planned in July, Andersson added.
Reversing an earlier suggestion, Andersson also said the group did not now plan to stop producing Volga Siber vehicles. The automaker plans to produce about 950 of these in June and about 3,000 in all of 2010.
The Siber is based on a previous generation Chrysler model.
