Russia’s second-largest car and truck maker GAZ expects the company’s exports to exceed 40,000 vehicles and assembly kits this year, an official with GAZ told the Prime-Tass news agency on Monday.
In 2003, GAZ exports amounted to about 36,000 vehicles and assembly kits.
The company estimates its exports to account for 22% of its total output this year, compared with 18% in 2003, the official reportedly said.
In January-September, the company’s total exports rose 37.5% on the year to 34,234 vehicles and assembly kits, including 28,470 vehicles and 5,764 assembly kits.
