The Itar-Tass news agency reports that Ford Motor’s assembly plant in Russia, Ford Vsevolzhsk, has resumed operation after a stoppage for the summer vacation.
The plant’s assembly line was idle from July 25 to August 7.
Ford Vsevolzhsk produces Ford Focus 2 cars. The first vehicles of the series rolled off its assembly line last spring. The previous model was Ford Focus 1.
In the first half of 2005 some 11,000 Ford Focus 1 and over 1,400 Ford Focus 2 cars were sold on the Russian market.
