Ford has resumed production in Russia after suspending work on its Vsevolozhsk assembly line for two weeks due to falling consumer demand.

The plant will now operate two shifts instead of three from 22 September and will work a shorter, four-day work week from 6 October until 5 February due to low car sales, a spokesman for the plant said earlier.

The plant assembles Focus and Mondeo models and turned out 25,563 cars in the January – July period.
