As Russia’s car market goes into reverse on the back of the financial crisis gripping its banks, Russian car dealer Incom-Auto has closed several of its outlets as many carmakers chose not renew agreements with the dealership in 2009.

A representative of Incom-Auto told business daily Kommersant that the number of Incom-Auto’s outlets in Russia and Ukraine has dropped to 16 from 48 since October, the daily said, citing information from the company.

Carmakers such as AvtoVAZ, GAZ, Daewoo, Taganrog Automobile Plant, Renault, UAZ, Fiat , Ssang Yong, Peugeot, Volvo, Chery, Kia, and Honda did not renew dealership agreements or stopped car supplies to Incom-Auto in 2009, the daily said, citing representatives of the carmakers.

Incom-Auto was once one of the largest car dealers in Moscow.
