AvtoVAZ has announced that it has completed upgrading all its Lada cars to Euro 4 exhaust emissions standards.
The company’s new Granta model was already built with Europe’s former standard in mind.

The upgraded cars have received new engine management system based on the electronic throttle (E-gas system) and optimised calibration of the electronic control unit.
For the requirement of the new certification, each car underwent a set of tests for toxicity, noise and electromagnetic compatibility.
The recommended prices of the cars have been increased by RUB2,700 (US$85) for Lada Classic models to RUB1,000 for other models.
