The upgraded cars have received new engine management system based on the electronic throttle (E-gas system) and optimised calibration of the electronic control unit.

For the requirement of the new certification, each car underwent a set of tests for toxicity, noise and electromagnetic compatibility.

The recommended prices of the cars have been increased by RUB2,700 (US$85) for Lada Classic models to RUB1,000 for other models.
