Russia’s struggling carmaker Avtovaz plans to create a purchasing joint venture with Renault and its alliance partner Nissan Motor, the Avtovaz CEO said on Friday.

“We plan to create a joint venture with Renault-Nissan in the near future,” Igor Komarov told Sochi Investment Forum.
Renault already has a stake in the Russian firm and provides platform and engineering support.
