AvtoVAZ, manufacturer of Lada cars, will build a new plant to produce 450,000 cars a year and develop a new platform for a series of cars, reported the Russian news company SKRIN.

The AvtoVAZ board reportedly met on February 2 and decided on a new strategy extending out to 2020.
The new plant will be ready within 2.5-3 years and eventually AvtoVAZ will have three platforms to produce twelve car models, including a small sport coupe, a crossover, a minivan, a new off-roader, as well as new sedan models for B, C and D segments.
