Russia’s automobile output rose 90.2% year on year to 1.107m units in January–October, ASM Holding, which monitors the country’s auto industry, said in a statement.
Car output in Russia rose 96.2% to 954,741 units. Of the total, foreign-branded car output rose to 492,473 units from 231,970 units in the same period of 2009, while domestic car output rose 81.5% on the year to 462,473 units.
Truck output increased 67.6% to 117,688 units in this period. Of the total, foreign-branded truck output rose to 10,440 units compared to 5,220 units.
Bus output rose 37.2% to 34,550 units.
In 2009, Russia’s automobile output fell 59.7% to 722,102 units.
