Renault–Nissan is focused on making investments in emerging markets, particularly in Russia and China, Renault–Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

“The Russian market is picking up again,” Ghosn said. “The Russian market will be one of the largest markets in the world.”

Nissan may buy 10% in Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ, Russian state-owned industrial conglomerate Rostekhnologii CEO Sergei Chemezov said on 19 November.

Renault–Nissan, Rostekhnologii, and Russian investment firm Troika Dialog currently each own 25% plus one share in AvtoVAZ.
