Engineering consulting firm Ricardo says that a high level government-industry meeting attended by Chengzu Ma, Shangrao secretary of the municipal Communist Party committee, and representatives of the regional auto industry, underlines and confirms Ricardo’s collaboration in the development of future low carbon vehicles in the Shangrao area of China.

The meeting was attended by Ricardo chief operating officer Mark Garrett, who expressed his enthusiastic support for the intended collaboration: “Shangrao is a city that makes an ideal location for Ricardo to collaborate with regional industries. The city has a major focus on the promotion of clean, low carbon technologies including solar PV, and battery systems manufacture, and support for sustainable transport initiatives. These are all areas that are core to Ricardo, and we look forward to working with the regional auto industry to help research, develop and engineer the next generation of low carbon vehicles.”

Commenting on the collaboration of Ricardo in low carbon vehicle development, Chengzu Ma added: “The investment environment Shangrao is attractive for enterprises involved in the development of new energy vehicles. We hope that Ricardo will collaborate with partners in Shangrao at an even higher level and wider field of activity in the future.”
