To boost growth and profitability, it said, Renault will split the roles of chief performance officer (CPO) and EVP of sales and marketing starting on 1 January, 2016.

Jérôme Stoll will remain CPO charged with heading regions to deliver expected volume and profit.

Thierry Koskas will head sales and marketing to, the automaker said, "establish guidelines for products, services and marketing expenses, challenge the regions and provide them with the tools to develop sales and after-sales services". He will report to Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO of Renault, and becomes a member of the executive committee.

Luis Fernando Pelaez Gamboa was named vice president, Renault Group in Argentina and CEO of RASA, to replace Thierry Koskas. He will report to Olivier Murguet, chairman of the America region.

Koskas has been in charge of Renault in Argentina since late 2012.

Gamboa headed Colombia operations from 2010.
