Renault UK has unveiled a car and van scrappage scheme for Euro IV vehicles registered by 31 December, 2009, adding to similar moves recently by Toyota, Ford and Volkswagen among several others.

The scheme allows customers to benefit from an allowance of between GBP3,000 (US$3,880) and GBP7,000, including scrappage support, towards the purchase of a new Renault car or van.

Customers can access Renault’s offers of either 4.9% APR PCP or 0% APR hire purchase along with two years free servicing on cars or 0% APR hire purchase with four years free servicing on vans.

With the all-electric Renault ZOE, customers currently benefit from a GBP5,000 allowance towards the purchase price.

The scrappage part exchange must be Euro 4 standard or older, have been registered by 31 December, 2009 and owned in the customer’s name for more than 90 days.  Vehicles part-exchanged through the scheme will be permanently destroyed.

Criteria:

  • Scrappage vehicles must be registered by 31 December 2009 and be Euro 4 standard or older.
  • Vehicles must be owned in the customer’s name for more than 90 days.
  • Vehicles will be permanently destroyed.
  • Twingo, ZE vehicles and All-New Koleos are excluded from scheme.
