Renault Group is joining the New Energies Coalition to collaborate with industry contemporaries to develop innovative and sustainable services for supply chain freight, and the use of AI in supply chain operations.

The coalition was founded in December 2019 by Rodolphe Saade, CEO of CMA CGM Group.

Its members are Airbus, Air Liquide, ArcelorMittal, AWS, Bureau Veritas, Credit Agricole CIB (Corporate and Investment Banking), Carrefour, Cluster Maritime Français, CMA CGM, Engie, GRTgaz, Kuehne+Nagel, Michelin, PSA International, Rolls Royce, Schneider Electric, Total Energies, Veolia and Wartsila.

Efforts are focused on research and development, as well as inter-industrial cooperation. The whole value chain of the transport and logistics sectors is represented from manufacturers and energy producers to end users.

Renault said its expertise in vehicle connectivity, data capture and use through AI enabled control towers was a key factor in monitoring and optimising transport emissions reductions.

It will also share its decarbonisation experience in logistics such as multimodal push and optimisation of kilometers per transport unit (km.m3 reduction).
