Renault has appointed Nicolas Maure as EVP, chief turnaround officer.

As part of his new responsibilities, he reports to Groupe Renault CEO, Luca de Meo.

Maure also retains his position as chairman of the Eurasia Region, for which he reports to Denis Le Vot, EVP, Regions, Sales and Marketing of Groupe Renault. He becomes a member of the Group Executive Committee (CEG).

“Nicolas Maure’s role will be key to ensuring the Group’s turnaround, i.e, the recovery of its performance and its return to a satisfactory level of profitability by 2022,” said de Meo.

“In close collaboration with the brands and all Group functions, he will be responsible for proposing and driving an action plan aimed on the one hand at a major reduction in our fixed and variable costs, and on the other hand at generating revenues and cash, starting immediately.”

Maure joined Renault in 2000 as purchasing director of the Parts and Accessories Division, after a career at Valeo and Faurecia.
