Renault has appointed Joji Tagawa as a director proposed by Nissan.

He replaces Yasuhiro Yamauchi, who resigned on 23 April, 2020, for the remainder of the latter’s term of office, that is until the 2022 General Meeting.

The General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on 19 June, 2020 will be asked to ratify the appointment of Tagawa.

“On my own behalf and on behalf of the board, I would like to thank Yasuhiro Yamauchi for his commitment and contribution to the work of the board, both as a director representing Nissan and as a member of the strategy committee,” said Renault chairman, Jean-Dominique Senard.

“I also welcome the arrival of Joji Tagawa to our board to continue the good dynamics of the relations between the Alliance members.”

The board also took into account the state of health emergency related to the coronavirus epidemic to decide the General Meeting of Shareholders convened on 19 June, 2020 will be held without the physical presence of shareholders and other persons entitled to attend.
