PSA has launched a new Virtual Showroom in the UK, which allows customers to view models with live tours, interact with brand specialists, book test drives and purchase vehicles.
Many customers may still feel apprehensive about visiting retailers says PSA, with the new Virtual Showroom allowing remote research and purchase.
Available across all four PSA brands in the UK, the Virtual Showroom will feature plug-in hybrid, petrol and diesel models including the new Peugeot e-2008 SUV, Vauxhall Corsa-e, Citroën C5 Aircross and DS 3 Crossback E-Tense.
Buyers can book live walk-around tours of the vehicles via the web portal, where a trained product presenter will use video technology to introduce the vehicle and answer any questions using a video link. The vehicles will be displayed in a bespoke viewing area fitted with high-definition cameras.
Buyers can also interact with presenters through the web portal using their smartphone, tablet or computer. The Virtual Showrooms are live now and will be open seven days a week, from 12:00 to 20:00, with customers able to log on via the main brand websites.
The online shopping portal guides customers through the purchase process; from researching a model, to deciding on the specification and options, as well as arranging finance.

“Online retail and remote selling is one of the big growth areas for the automotive retail sector,” said PSA Network Development director UK, David March.
“With Virtual Showroom, we are bringing the same showroom experience our customers are used to when visiting our physical retail sites to the comfort of their home.
“We are adapting our business to respond not only to the current crisis but also for longer term trends and shifts in consumer behaviours.
“Increasingly, web based viewing and brand interaction is becoming an expectation rather than exception and we’re positioned well across all our brands to meet these needs”
