PSA has appointed Olivier Bourges, Group executive vice president of Programmes and Strategy, as a member of the managing board effective 1 March until the board’s term of office expires on 2 April, 2021.
As of 1 March, 2019, the Managing Board will once again have four members.
Bourges started his career at the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance, then at the Treasury, followed by the Government Shareholding Agency (APE), where he served as Deputy Director. He has also acquired significant operational experience in the automotive industry.
He joined PSA in 2014 and served as the Group’s general counsel until late 2017, before being appointed executive vice president, Programmes and Strategy.
The news follows PSA’s plans to take up the major challenges facing the automotive industry, illustrated by the seven mega trends and accelerate implementation of transformation projects which foster growth and efficiency, particularly in digital technology.
The Group’s aim is to increase its sales outside Europe by 50% by 2021 and to position its brands in new markets: Peugeot in North America, Citroën in India and Opel in Russia, while enhancing DS’ international footprint.
