Porsche delivered a record 225,121 cars world-wide, exceeding 2014's record of 189,849.

"The figures reflect the pulling power of our brand as well as the appeal of our products which we have launched on the market in the past few years," said chairman Oliver Blume. "Focusing completely on the development, production and sales of highly emotional sports cars is paying off. What is much more important for us are customer enthusiasm, return on sales and secure jobs."

The core 911 saw a rise of 4% year on year to "just under" 32,000 units delivered. An updated model line goes on sale at the end of January 2016.

With more than 80,000 cars delivered, the Macan SUV became the popular Porsche in its first year of full availability. It was followed by the Cayenne (73,119 units). Both Macan and the Cayenne achieved two-digit growth figures versus 2014.

Cayman sales rose slightly by 1%. The Panamera and Boxster models lagged behind the previous year levels.

For the first time, the strongest single market in 2015 was China where Porsche delivered 58,009 vehicles, up 24% year on year. Next was the USA with 51,756 vehicles, a growth of 10%. Europe grew by 24% to 75,354 units with Germany the strongest single market with 28,953 vehicles delivered (+21%).
