Porsche sales in 2019 rose 10% year on year to 280,800 vehicles.

Cayenne deliveries rose 29% to 92,055 while Macan volume was up 16% to 99,944.

"We are delighted about this great result, which shows the worldwide customer excitement for our sports cars and we are also proud that we have further strengthened the appeal of our brand and the customer experience with new approaches," said sales and marketing head Detlev von Platen.

"We are optimistic that we can maintain the high levels of demand in 2020 – also thanks to a host of new models and full order books for the Taycan."

Sales in Germany and Europe rose 15% to 31,618 and 88,975 vehicles respectively.

Sales in China rose 8% to 86,752 while US volume was up 8% to 61,568.
