Lear, a seating and electrical systems supplier, has begun recruiting staff for a new plant to be opened near Legnica, according to local media reports. Lear already has three sites in Poland and is said to be interested in taking over a factory in Legnickie Pole, an industrial estate, which was built for Lenovo, the Chinese computer company.

Lear plans to spend nearly EUR20m (US$25m) developing the factory which has been idle for three years following the bankruptcy of PLA Development which constructed the hall for Lenovo, daily Puls Biznesu reported.
