Bridgestone will will invest EUR105m (US$142.9m) to expand passenger vehicle tyre production at its plant in Poznan, Poland, by 5,600 units a day.
New production lines will be launched in January 2012 but production will be ramped up gradually with full capacity scheduled for January 2014.
The investment will create about 200 new jobs, local news agency CIA said.
