BorgWarner has opened a factory in Southeast Poland, near the city of Mielec, a local press report said.

News agency PAP said the factory would take on about 100 employees.

“Our first client is the Fiat Auto factory in Bielsko-Biala (southwest Poland),” BorgWarner spokeswoman Malgorzata Poczatek told PAP.

“We’ll be producing four models of turbochargers for their diesel motors,” she said.

The car parts maker was reported to have invested 50m zlotys (US$15m).
