Plastic Omnium says Jean-Michel Szczerba, a director and Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed co-CEO.

Szczerba, joined Plastic Omnium in 1985 as a financial controller, after having started his career two years earlier at the Banque Vernes Commerciale of Paris.

From 1985 to 2001, Szczerba, successively served as manager of financial services, then as CFO, prior to becoming deputy CEO in 2001.

In 2010, he was appointed COO, prior to becoming a director in 2012 and is now co-CEO alongside CEO, Laurent Burelle.

Szczerba is, in addition, a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite.
