Automotive sales in the Philippines rose 26.6% from a year earlier to 31,006 units in the four months to April, the central bank said on Monday, according to an Agence France-Presse report.
Passenger car sales fell 14.7% to 6,300 units, while sales of vans, pickups, sport utilities as well as commercial vehicles grew by 43.2% to 24,706 units in the four months.
For April alone, car sales were up 4.7% from a year earlier to 6,814 following double-digit gains for each of the first three months of the year, central bank figures showed, the report added.
