Opel’s Supervisory Board has appointed Ralph Wangemann as new managing director, Personnel and Labour director.

The lawyer will lead the entire HR function of Opel/Vauxhall as a member of the Opel Automobile Management Board and succeeds Anke Felder, who has elected to leave the company.

“Ralph Wangemann is a highly experienced Human Resources and labour relations expert working for Opel for two decades now,” said Opel/Vauxhall CEO, Michael Lohscheller.

“This experience and network are precious assets for the company – especially for the continued successful execution of our PACE plan. “We thank Anke Felder and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

Currently, Wangemann is Human Resources director, Germany and director, Labour Relations as well as deputy head of the HR division of Opel/Vauxhall. Since joining the company in 1998, he held several managerial positions in Human Resouorces and Labour Relations in Germany and the neighbouring country of Austria.
