Kongsberg Automotive Holding has won a record order worth EUR250m ($US318m) over 10 years for air-brake couplings from an unnamed truck manufacturer.

“The new product programme will be introduced at the end of 2008 and one year later the annual turnover is expected to be about 175 million Norwegian crowns ($US28million),” Kongsberg told Reuters.
A significant portion of the product programme will use composite materials substituting brass, whose costs have increased by 130% over the past year, the report added.
