Nissan is breaking ground on a technology training centre in Decherd, Tennessee.
The new 21,000 sq ft facility – located at the existing Nissan powertrain assembly complex – will have the capacity to train 180 employees simultaneously in the areas of production, maintenance, engineering and management.

“This new training centre underpins Nissan’s commitment to upskilling our workforce in advanced manufacturing technology, as well as our commitment to Franklin County,” said Nissan North America Powertrain and Battery Operations VP, Brian Sullivan.
The facility is expected to open in autumn this year.
Nissan Decherd Powertrain Plant:
Nissan Decherd Powertrain Plant is the highest-volume powertrain plant in the US, accounting for more than 1m engines produced annually. The plant employs 1,700 people and has built nearly 13m engines since opening in 1997.
Nissan Decherd currently produces engines for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles including Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Pathfinder, Frontier, Titan and Infiniti QX60, among others.
