Nissan is breaking ground on a technology training centre in Decherd, Tennessee.

The new 21,000 sq ft facility – located at the existing Nissan powertrain assembly complex – will have the capacity to train 180 employees simultaneously in the areas of production, maintenance, engineering and management.

“This new training centre underpins Nissan’s commitment to upskilling our workforce in advanced manufacturing technology, as well as our commitment to Franklin County,” said Nissan North America Powertrain and Battery Operations VP, Brian Sullivan.

The facility is expected to open in autumn this year.
