Giltrap has extensive background involvement within the motor industry including managing retail vehicle dealerships and replaces Graeme Seymour who has stepped down after a two year term of office.


John Leighton, managing director of Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand, was elected vice president. He also has an extensive history within the motor industry where he has worked for almost 30 years, spending the early part of his career in manufacturing and CKD assembly operations.


Leighton became managing director of Mitsubishi in 1998, following the closure of the CKD assembly operation.
