Richard Giltrap, managing director of European Motor Distributors, importers and distributors of Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda and Porsche, has taken over as president of New Zealand’s Motor Industry Association.

John Leighton, managing director of Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand, was elected vice president. He also has an extensive history within the motor industry where he has worked for almost 30 years, spending the early part of his career in manufacturing and CKD assembly operations.
Leighton became managing director of Mitsubishi in 1998, following the closure of the CKD assembly operation.
