Nissan North America will give the 2014 Infiniti QX60 Hybrid its global debut at the New York motor show. The new powertrain for this SUV consists of a supercharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine plus a 15kW electric motor.
NNA will build this new derivative of the former Infiniti JX (recently renamed QX60) at its Smyrna plant in Tennessee. The standard transmission for this big crossover is a CVT, while the vehicle’s power output is quoted as “about 250hp”.
The new Hybrid will be priced around US$3,000 above the existing QX60, while deliveries are due to commence in “the summer”.
