BYD Europe and Alexander Dennis said their electric vehicle partnership had delivered 11 new electric BYD ADL Enviro200EV electric buses to operator Go-Ahead London.

The new 9.6m model has a shorter wheelbase to suit narrow, complex road networks such as those on Go-Ahead's route 100.

The bus has 24 seats and a 66 passenger capacity and can travel 150 miles on a single charge. The vehicle has a 330kWh electric motor and BYD iron phosphate batteries.

The first delivery is the 100th Enviro200EV for London with the company having to date completed 6.3m km and claiming to have saved 5,500 tons of CO2 emissions.

Another 13 10.9m buses are scheduled to go into service in London in March 2020.

Two hundred units are now either delivered or on order with operators across the UK.
