Mercedes-Benz sales rose 7.4% year on year to 161,953 vehicles for a November record.
Europe sales in November rose 10.5% to a record 67,500 and by 10.8% to 726,606 year to date – also a new record.
United States year to date sales rose 4.2% to 308,885, another record.
Chinese sales rose 38.7% to 36,313. In Japan, unit sales in the first 11 month increased 9.4% to a record 58,362.
Smart sales increased 45.3% in November to 10,840 units. Growth was particularly strong in Europe, where the brand nearly doubled its unit sales.
Sales and marketing chief Ola Källenius said: "November 2015 was the best-selling November for Mercedes-Benz so far. Our SUVs and compact cars in particular are extremely popular with the customers. We achieved new records in both segments and sold more than 50,000 units of each of those two vehicle types."
