Michelin says Adeline Challon-Kemoun will join as a member of the Group Executive Committee, EVP, Brands, Sustainable Development, Communications and Public Affairs.
Challon-Kemoun, who graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Society Francoise d’Analyse Financier, started her career in communications consultancy at Image 7.
She then worked in general management positions (Euris, Rallye) and as brands, marketing and communications director for major groups : Casino, France Televisions and Air France.
From 2015 to 2017, she was executive vice president, Marketing, Digital and Communication at Air France-KLM and member of the group’s executive committee.
Michelin recently posted 2017 profit up 1.5% to EUR1.69bn (US$2.1bn), while operating income from recurring activities was EUR2.7bn or 12.5% of net sales, up EUR145m.
The French supplier said it had a “determined Group strategy to offset the more than EUR700m increase in raw materials costs,” which resulted in a neutral impact versus raw materials headwind on the non-indexed businesses.
