Mexico’s auto industry output and exports fell in July, the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA) reportedly said.
According to Reuters, it said Mexico-based automakers produced 112,680 automobiles during the month, down 1.4% from the year-ago period.
Exports by Mexico-based automakers totaled 77,708 units in July, down 16.2% from the same month last year, AMIA reportedly said.
Reuters noted that Mexico is the 11th largest auto producer in the world, but production has been hit in the last couple of years by weaker demand from the United States, its major export market.
