Daimler's Mercedes-Benz Vans has launched an eSprinter EV as a follow up to the electric Vito.
Initially it is offered as a panel van with permissible gross mass of 3500kg.
Maximum loading volume is 10.5 m3, the same as for the Sprinter with a combustion engine.
The 85kW electric motor drives the front wheels. Torque figure is up to 295Nm.
There are two range options. The 55 kWh battery pack is claimed good for 168km with maximum load of 891kg while a 41kWh pack allows 115km hauling 1,045kg.
The integrated quick-charge function allows around 80% of the energy to be recharged within 30 minutes. Maximum speed can be set at 80, 100 or 120km/h.
