Japanese automaker Mazda Motor Corporation reported a 10.7% decline in global vehicle sales to 118,249 units in March 2026 from 132,359 units in the same month last year, with domestic sales falling by 6.4% to 18,558 units, while overseas sales declined by 11.4% to 99,691 units. The CX-3 was the company’s best-selling model globally last month, with sales rising by 5.5% to 33,829 units, followed by the CX-30 with 21,223 units (-11.6%), and the Mazda 3 with 14,560 units (-6.9%).
In the first three months of the year, the company’s global vehicle sales declined by 10% to 302,357 units from 336,025 in the same period last year, with domestic sales falling by almost 12% to 43,504 units, while overseas sales were down by almost 10% to 258,853 units.

Sales in the US declined by over 14% to 94,472 units in this period, and in China sales plunged by 21% to 12,859 units, while deliveries in Europe increased by 11% to 49,509 units. Sales in other markets combined dropped by almost 12% to 102,013 units.
Mazda’s global vehicle production rose by 2.7% to 305,682 units in the first three months of the year, with output in Japan up by over 10% to 200,872 units, while overseas production fell by 9% to 104,810 units.
Exports from Japan rose by 13.6% year-on-year to 168,542 units in the first quarter of the year, with shipments to North America rising by 10.8% to 82,420 units, while exports to Europe surged by almost 34% to 40,140 units. Shipments to Oceania rose by over 7% to 13,998 units, while exports to other global markets rose by 3.5% to 31,984 units.
