Mazda has given its 6 a comprehensive update with a new interior and other detail changes. The facelift appeared at this week's Los Angeles show.
Chassis revisions give, the automaker claims, a more supple ride, greater agility and "dramatically improved" NVH. A new Signature interior trim level for the US includes brown Nappa leather UltraSuede with a subtle gold tint and sen wood accents.

US buyers (and some other markets) also get a 2.5 litre, petrol turbo engine claimed to produce torque on par with a four litre V8.
Update cars have a new grille with standard LED headlights with integrated fog lamps, painted surfaces extend lower on the body, and there are new 17- and 19-inch wheel designs.
The interior, though most will need to check the previous model for comparison, appears genuinely all new, as Mazda claims, with only the steering wheel and small trim pieces carried over.
Front seats have been fully redesigned and are wider with high density, vibration absorbing urethane foam and ventilated front seats are also available.
New technology includes 360° view monitor, a reconfigurable seven inch TFT gauge display in higher trim models, a new eight inch infotainment display with sharper colour contrast, optional radar cruise control with stop & go, wiper de-icer and active driving display head up unit.
The carry over, standard, 2.5 litre naturally aspirated engine has cylinder deactivation. Most models will be sold with six speed, torque converter automatic transmission but a six speed manual is also on the menu.
Sales start in spring 2018.
