New models such as such as the Perodua Axia and Proton Iriz helped drive sales in the final months of the year.

Passenger vehicle sales grew by 2% to 588,341 units last year, from 576,657 units previously, while commercial vehicles sales fell by 1.3% to 78,124 units, from 79,136 units.
