Malaysia’s Proton Holding announced at the end of last week the voluntary recall of 15,911 Gen2 and Satria Neo models made between 2004 and 2008, due to a defective clock spring which is understood to affect driver’s side airbag deployment and other drive functions.
The cost of the recall is expected to be around MYR5m. Both model ranges are sold outside Malaysia.
