Passenger car sales in Malaysia rose 11.9% in November from the corresponding month last year to 27,110 units from 24,219, a trade body told Reuters on Tuesday.
Total November sales, including commercial vehicles, rose 14.2% to 36,030 units from 31,542 in the same month last year, the Malaysian Automotive Association reportedly said in a statement.
The association told the news agency sales in December could be slowed by customers’ usual year-end preference to defer taking delivery until after the new year – total sales for the first 11 months of 2004 stood at 435,051 units, up 16.2% from the same 2003 period.
