Israeli ADAS technology supplier Mobileye has been selected by Mahindra to supply advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for at least six upcoming vehicles, with manufacturing due to begin in 2027.
Under the programme, the Indian automaker will deploy Mobileye’s SuperVision and Surround platforms, both powered by the supplier’s EyeQ6 High system-on-chip.
The two systems will combine perception, road experience management (REM) mapping, driving functions, driver and occupant monitoring, and advanced parking into a single electronic control unit developed by Mobileye.
The company will serve as Tier 1 supplier for the projects.
SuperVision is configured with 11 cameras, optional radars and two EyeQ6H processors.
It enables point-to-point navigate-on-pilot operation in defined areas and conditions, as well as parking assistance and driver monitoring.
Surround, by contrast, relies on five cameras, multiple radars and one EyeQ6H processor to support hands-off, eyes-on motorway driving in specific scenarios, alongside similar parking and monitoring functions.
Mobileye said both systems are designed to replace multiple electronic control units with a single architecture while helping Mahindra meet efficiency targets.
The company linked the announcement to increasing uptake of ADAS features in India, citing consumer demand and regulatory measures such as the Bharat new car assessment program (NCAP).
According to the statement, these trends are expected to push adoption closer to levels in developed markets later in the decade.
Mahindra and Mobileye have previously collaborated on EyeQ4M- and EyeQ6L-based projects, which they said achieved strong safety ratings in the country.
Mobileye president and CEO Amnon Shashua said: “This nomination demonstrates Mahindra’s commitment to advanced safety technologies and strengthens Mobileye’s long-term investment in India as a strategic hub for ADAS localisation and production.”
The latest agreement expands that partnership to new locally engineered systems for both domestic sales and exports.
