Magna has started contract assembly of Tata Motors' Jaguar's new I-Pace electric SUV.

This is the brand's first all electric model.

Magna Steyr said it was the only contract manufacturer building vehicles with different propulsion systems at one plant and on one production line.

It began building the combustion engine E-Pace last year.

Magna expects to build around 200,000 vehicles in Graz this year – four different models for three automakers.

The supplier and contract assembler said in January it expected North American vehicle output to remain steady at 17.4m in both 2018 and 2020 with Europe output at 22.3m in 2018 and 22.9m in 2020.
