Magna said it had received a special Lincoln Luxury World Excellence Award from Ford for its supply deals for the new Continental.
The Canadian supplier makes the complete seat system for the vehicle, including the 'perfect position' driver and passenger seats with 30-way adjustability and optional 1rear seats with power lumbar support, heating and cooling, and recline.
After making its debut in Europe the supplier's SmartLatch is now used in North America on the Continental. It's a fully electronic door latching system with no cables and rods inside the door structure, contributing to weight savings.
