HiPhi, the luxury EV brand of Chinese tech firm Human Horizons, has launched a new SUV model.
The HiPhi Y, a mid-size SUV, joins the brands dual flagship models the X ‘Super SUV’ and Z ‘Digital GT’.
It was first unveiled in Shanghai, as part of a global event and recently featured at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It is HiPhi’s third model, and its second to be offered for sale in Europe.
Human Horizons announced earlier this year that it was planning to launch HiPhi into some European markets, in efforts to expand overseas.
In June this year, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment signed a $5.6 billion deal with Human Horizons to collaborate on the development, manufacture and sale of vehicles.
HiPhi Y comes in Flagship, Long Range, Elite and Pioneer versions. The Long Range model comes equipped with a 115kWh battery and claims travel distances of up to 810km on a single charge.
